Anna Jetmore-Vargas is founder and owner of The Newday Group, a freelance sustainability consulting firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Anna focuses her practice on delivering innovative, results-oriented services to clients in the municipal and not-for-profit sectors. In 2008, Anna served as the founding Director of the City of Indianapolis Office of Sustainability, and subsequently joined Keramida, Inc. a full-service sustainability and environmental consulting firm as Director of Sustainability Services. Outside of Indianapolis, Anna has conducted green economic development research for the Delta Institute and led the creation, launch and promotion of a unique ecotourism project in Peru aimed at benefiting local communities and generating conservation funds. Over the past 3 years, Anna has secured over $12 million in grant funding for her clients – empowering them to design, implement, evaluate, and improve upon projects such as the City of Indianapolis’ Better Buildings program – an innovative neighborhood-scale energy efficiency program. Anna graduated Summa Cum Laude from Earlham College and holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband, three children, two fish, one toad and their beloved dog Snoopy.
