Laura is a writer, a mother, a co-founder of Common Home Farm (an interfaith Catholic Worker farm) and assistant creative director for Women Writing for (a) Change in Bloomington, Indiana. She is committed to living wholeheartedly, and spends a significant amount of time nurturing connections and cultivating life in its many forms. A typical day for her always includes tending to her children, hens, and gardens, and often includes facilitating a creative writing circle in the jail, working on an essay at home, or studying for her graduate degree in mental health counseling.
