As a classical trumpeter, Benjamin (he/him) believes in the transformative power of music to create meaningful community and facilitate personal and communal healing. Benjamin’s creative work integrates sacred, folk, and film music, ancient eucharistic liturgies, and meditative practices. His work emphasizes the importance of contemplation and reconciliation in addressing social and environmental crises. His recent achievements include developing a preliminary theory on music and reconciliation under the mentorship of Juilliard musicology faculty and conducting grant-supported research at The Community of Taizé in France. Benjamin seeks to contribute to the flourishing of people and life in all its forms by being an instrument of peace.
