Mary is Executive Director of the Indiana Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. In 2006 she led a global assessment of the world’s forests for the Conservancy, and in 2009 she led an international team to develop global strategies for sustainable forestry and agricultural production. Under Mary’s leadership, the Indiana Chapter of The Nature Conservancy has pioneered cutting edge conservation strategies that have been replicated around the world. She strongly advocates international partnerships and cross boundary knowledge sharing. At Byron, Mary shares the Conservancy’s efforts to save the landscape surrounding Turkey Run as well as other eco-regions around the world.
