Mel is a chemical engineer who worked for 20 years in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical chemicals and 16 years in charge of environmental clean up for a Fortune 200 company. He has pursued the continuing presence of banned chemicals in the environment which resulted in the publishing of Cold, Clear, and Deadly: Unraveling a Toxic Legacy. He also just finished The Climate Trap, a unique look on the history of global climate and how it may relate to future global warming. Mel contributed to Byron for nine years as a mentor, and now participates in an advisory role.
