Micah Kessel

As an empathic design strategist with a desire to inspire deeply human connections, Micah works to create experiences that connect immersion and science to enhance empathic communities. He’s a founder at Playground of Empathy, which designs under the research of one of the countries top emotion studies labs – co-lead by neuroscientist and president of the Association for Psychological Science, Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett – (IASL) at Northeastern University. Previously, Micah has designed concepts for Google, Disney, Microsoft, and European Government organizations. He is also a founder of Sherlocked(.nl), the most 5 star rated escape room in the world. He has performed early music, opera, and art song at the Royal Conservatory of the Netherlands and The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and speaks English, German, Dutch, Italian and French.
