Mark Boyce is committed to creating and sustaining organizations and places that enhance the health of human and natural communities.
Mark is a Founding Partner of True Homes, which operates in five Carolina metropolitan markets and is one of the 15 largest private homebuilders in the United States. In an independent survey sponsored by the Charlotte Observer, True Homes has been a “Best Workplace” since 2016 and was rated “The Best Place To Work” in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. In 2018, True Homes received the National Housing Quality Gold Award, the highest award in the home building industry. In December 2020, True Homes was recognized as the National Builder of the Year by Professional Builder Magazine.
Mark is Co-Founder of the Byron Fellowship, which is a week-long transformational experience for young social change agents, and a community of generative leaders co- creating a flourishing world. Prior to founding the Byron Fellowship, Mark engaged young leaders in his role as Adjunct Professor at Ball State University and Indiana-Purdue University of Indianapolis, teaching Sustainable Community Development.
Mark currently serves on the Board of Visitors of Wake Forest School of Divinity and as a Distinguished Advisor and Lifetime Trustee of the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. He is also a board member of East Fork, Asheville NC.
He received his Bachelor’s degree cum laude in Government from Pomona College, California and Master’s degree in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge, England. Mark and Jill Boyce have four children and live in Weddington, North Carolina. Mark enjoys hiking, family dinners and playing drums with the Threshold Church worship band.
