Eli (he/him) is committed to creating communities where Black and Brown communities thrive together. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the South Bronx, Eli’s journey led him to earn a bachelor’s degree in music, a master’s in education, and a doctorate in Executive Leadership. With over 25 years of experience in education and community engagement, Eli has served in various roles, from teacher to district leader, advocating for social justice and educational equity. Beyond his professional endeavors, Eli is deeply involved in community service. He is the president of the Auburn Cayuga County NAACP and a member of the board of directors for the National Math Foundation, and AADUNA, Inc. Eli serves on the Auburn Enlarged City School District Board of Education. Additionally, he is the President-Elect for the New York State Association for Bilingual Education (NYSABE) and contributes to the Governor’s CNY Hate & Bias Prevention Unit. As a facilitator, speaker, and founder of Authentic LeaderShift, LLC., Eli encourages leading with empathy and fostering common values to bring about meaningful societal change.
