John is a co-founder of SOS Fund, which disrupts and dismantles predatory housing systems in Baltimore. A citizen-artist, John’s identity is deeply tied to Baltimore, where he draws from a background in the performing arts to address historical inequities through his work in housing and development. John pulls inspiration from the collaborative and rebellious spirit of his alma mater, the Baltimore School for the Arts, and during the COVID-19 pandemic he co-founded SOS Fund, a non-profit that is focused on preventing displacement and promoting equitable redevelopment in Baltimore’s historically redlined neighborhoods. He leverages his storytelling skills and leadership experience from years of working as a professional theater actor to advocate for systemic change, and envisions a future in which Baltimore leads the way in equitable housing development.
